Welcome to Our Site

Adoptable Pets & Wildlife Rescue

Grays Harbor Veterinary Services has been providing Grays Harbor County and the surrounding towns with facilities to house impounds and abandoned animals for over 20 years.  When Drs. Tim and Sonnya Crawford purchased the clinic in 2003, they had a vision of doing more than just providing temporary shelter for these homeless pets and wildlife.

Our clinic has taken in or assisted with the care of abandoned and neglected dogs, cats, ferrets and horses.  We also provide temporary shelter to wildlife including owls, bald eagles, pelicans and even a seal pup.

Soon, homeless pets were no longer sent to PAWS after their 3 day mandatory hold was up.
We began to post flyers all over town and ran ads in the local newspaper announcing the pets that were available for adoption at our clinic.

It became apparent that we had more to offer, so Drs. Tim and Sonnya connected with the Pacific Rim Bloodhound Club (PRBC) and offered their facilities to house homeless bloodhounds.  In cooperation with PRBC, the outdoor kennels were built and premium dog houses were added.  The club members were able to obtain donations of food and toys from Central Garden & Pet and carpeting for bedding from various sources.  Grays Harbor Veterinary Services provides the housing and veterinary care for these homeless hounds.

In March, 2006 Grays Harbor Veterinary Services obtained a Rescue Facility account with PetFinder.com.  Since that date, we have adopted out over 100 homeless pets.
